about me

I’m a marketing executive with almost 20 years’ experience in marketing, sales, and consumer-facing problem solving. I’ve spent the past 10 year in publishing, and the last 3 leading the marketing department for the largest Bible publisher in the world.

  • Building diverse teams: I love bringing together people with dissimilar backgrounds, celebrating their unique experiences, and allowing them to feed off each other’s perspectives to accomplish great work.
  • Ruthlessly and unapologetically cutting unnecessary work: Life’s too short, and our jobs are too important for busywork that doesn’t make a difference.
  • Workflow overhauls: I take great joy in getting stagnant processes unstuck.
  • Figuring out the “why”: I need to locate the reason behind our tasks for my own sanity, but I’ve found that my team enjoys the “what” a lot more if I teach them the “why” first.
  • Measuring Impact: My favorite kind of projects are ones that allow for incremental measuring to help us improve our work.

  • I currently work for HarperCollins. I’m the VP of marketing for Bibles at Zondervan.
  • My first publishing job was with the Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co. I served as a Field Sales Manager with a territory that stretched from Chicago to the West Coast.
  • I was with FedEx in three states–Virginia, Ohio, and Indiana.

  • Both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees are in the area of religion and theology. I have a BA in Biblical Studies and earned a Master of Divinity with a speciality in biblical Greek.
  • I’m bilingual and graduated high school from the Bundes Oberstufenrealgymnasium in Telfs, Austria.
